Hunt 4 - Location and Clue Details

The sticker was hidden in the recruiting section of the yellow pages in the phone booth at the corner of NW 23rd and Hoyt in downtown Portland.

Clue 1

The background beeping is the alphabet in Morse code, for the alphabet historical district. The line "We see you've been recruiting others to help you on this quest" refers to the sticker being in the Qwest phone booth in the book next to the section on recruiting (military).

Act I (Hoyt)

In clue 2, the background noise is the max train entering the tunnel at the zoo where the "Find Your Path" sign was filmed. The sign showed a map of the trails at Hoyt Arboretum. The building was the Hoyt Arboretum visitor center.

The characters in clue 3 are King Arthur (Art), Sir Lancelot (Lance) and Guinevere (Gwen). The three fowl were 2 ducks and a goose referring to the Duck, Duck Goose store on NW 23rd. To go from 23rd to Hoyt you would end up taking Kingston which ends at Knights, which ends at Fairview. Heading away from Skyline brings you to the visitor center.

Intermission

Clue 4 points to the alphabet historical district. There is a Nike basketball court and a Bocce court in the North park blocks. The words are an anagram for Ankeny, Burnside, Couch. The blender hint is just telling you to look for an anagram.

Act II (23)

Clue 5 shows pictures from the North Park Blocks. There is one picture from each block.

Clue 6 is a plaque from the playground at the North Park Blocks between Couch and Davis. The hero is William G. Hall who took a bullet to save a little girl in a downtown shooting. The red circle when lined up with the actual plaque is circling the number 23.

Clue 7

This shows what starts out and "No Park" and turns into "No Parking". This meant that the sticker was not in a park and there was no parking in front of the hidden location.

Clue 8

The sticker was hidden in a Qwest phone booth. Qwest used to be US West. There is also a Luck Brand store and a tarot card reader in the area.

Clue 9

The numbers are from the elevator up from the max stop at the zoo. They represent the address range along NW 23rd where the sticker was hidden. The 2nd part of the video was driving south on 23rd towards the Hoyt.

Clue 10

Acts 2:1 - "When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place." Pentecost is 50 days after Easter, the price of the pay phone to make a local call is 50 cents. This is also meant to mean to point to the place Act I and Act II come together (23rd and Hoyt).

Clue 11

The pictures can all be found in around 23rd and Hoyt. The words are lyrics from the song titled "Where it's At".

Clue 12

The video is from NW 23rd ending at the Starbucks at the hot intersection. The background music is from the song "Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth...". This points to the phone booth at NW 23rd and Hoyt.

Clue 13

Enlist refers to the recruiting section of the phone book which was on page 1133.

Clue 3

When Clue 3 said "you (King Arthur) end here,"  I thought Avalon.  I was so hoping we were going to end up at Avalon Hotel and Spa on Hamilton Court for some spa treatments!
