Thank you to everyone who sent in donations. We will be having a hunt 11. I'm super busy right now, but am working on another hunt. I'll post a date and put up the countdown when I have more info.

Please leave a comment if you have enjoyed the hunts so far. I'm trying to get an idea of how many people are still around.

Hunt 10 - Location and clue details

The sticker was hidden in a hole at the base of a sign post near the bottom of the trail leading up to Multnomah falls.

Clue 1

The word MULTNOMAH can be found by figuring out which letters should go along the line that seperates the white and black sides. The file name contained the hint 1of4 which hinted at Multnomah county, and the word spelled out down the picture was a hint at the falls.

Clue 2

Iversen in the clue refers to Simon Iversen who later changed his name to Simon Benson. He had the bridge at Multnomah falls built and it is named after him. If you follow the insructions that "Simon says" starting from the lodge it will take you to the bench right next to the sign post where the sticker has hidden.

Clue 3

The text hints that the sticker is defferent than it has been in the past. The picture is flipped horizontally and you are looking toward the bottom of the trail where the sticker was hidden. The file name hint WearingRainGear is because the sticker was attacked to a card inside a plastic bag.

Clue 4

This is a collage of photos from the area. There is some morse code hidden right below the H in Have that reads "in plastic" referring to the bag. The file name hint ZoomIn tells you to zoom in on the picture so you will see the morse code.

Clue 5

There is a lot in this clue. First off, being national leftovers day, you usually take your leftovers home in a doggy bag. The sign the sticker was hidden beneath had a sign for doggy bags.

There is quite a bit of hidden text in the clue that you can see by highlighting the text with your mouse. Hidden withing the text is "ROT13" wich will help you make sense of the others. There is a ROT13 converter here http://www.rot13.com/index.php. There is also more hidden text that turns Sam into Samuel Morse - Morse Code.

Beneath the text of the clue converted into ROT13 is the text "Multnomah Falls"

Congratulations to Marvin Calhoun for braving the cold, wet weather to find the monkeys hiding near Multnomah Falls. Marvin is Monkey Treasure's first two time winner. His prize was an iPod Nano which Marvin has donated back to Monkey Treasure to use as a prize in a future hunt. Thanks Marvin!

Unfortunately, since the monkeys have all of our treasure, we've been forced to sleep out in the cold and beg for food. We've even started doing some honest work just to get by. Hunt 8 - Location and Clue Details

The sticker was hidden in George Himes Park along the trail leading between Terwilliger and View Point Terrace. It was on a log on the north side of the trail just below the 14 steps where the trail forks.

Clue 1

Salt, water, and flour are used to make hard tack. The park is west of hard tack island

Clue 2

Storm, Prism (Prizm), Spectrum, Metro, and Tracker are all models of cars made by Geo. George Himes went by Geo in some of his correspondence.

Clue 3

The train is the first wagon train that went over the Naches Pass. George Himes went with his parents, brother and two sisters, one of whom we talked about in the clue. George's father was the first boot and shoe maker north of the Columbia River.

Clue 4

Sign at George Himes Park. Also the story of a printing press helping to identify the time period and destination of the wagon train in Clue 3.

Clue 5

More facts about George Himes. There are 66 steps that lead up from Viewpoint Terrace toward the park. Following the trail toward the intersection of Terwilliger and Terwilliger will lead you past the sticker. The sticker was affixed to a dead tree (log).

Clue 6

The monster refers to the Barbur Blvd overpass which had some graffiti of the word monster on one of the beams. All of the beams had the marking 5/03 where they had been tested. The 14 referred to the 14 steps further up the trail just before it split.

Clue 7

More George Himes facts. The seal is the logo for the Oregon Historical Society which George Himes was very active in. The file name is Terwilliger. Some of the numbers are green and can be unscrambled to read "dead tree"

Hunt 7 - Location and Clue Details

The sticker was hidden near the bottom of the Woodburn Falls Trail at Lacamas Park in Camas, WA

Clue 1

The sign is located on the north perimeter of the park. There are 26 parking spaces in the main lot, and more in an overflow lot.

Clue 2

Italian for "If landing on the other side of the road, pay attention to 6.12.015. 6.12.015 is an ordinance about sea planes. There is a sea plane base accross the street at Lacamas Lake. Zellerbach was the US ambassador to Italy.

Clue 3

To solve clue 3 you needed to use the numbers and letters on the phone's keypad. The first number was the key, the second number was the letter on the key. So 4|1 = "G", 4|3 = "I". When translated, the clue read "Gift of Zellerbach, east of Round".

Lacamas Park was gifted by the Zellerbach Corporation and the sticker was east of Round Lake.

Clue 4

Another phone clue, only this time you need to use your fingers to trace letters on the phone keypad. 713957 = "B". When translated, the clue read "Between a rock and a hard place".

The sticker was on a rock which was partially stuck in a crack in a much larger rock.

Clue 5

Clue 5 was released at 5:17 AM. The right and left digits of the release time are 7 and 5, or 75. Lower Falls at Lacamas Park measure 75 feet accross (left to right). The Emerald Isle is refering to Ireland, WA, to the NE. Woodburn Falls is in that general direction.
